Clarity before hype. Evidence before claims.
These standards govern SportyTechs news, analysis, field notes and evergreen guides.
Evidence and attribution
We define the claim before writing, prefer primary or accountable reporting where available, preserve dates and scope, and avoid turning a planned deployment into a completed result. Commercial claims are attributed rather than repeated as independent conclusions.
A precise number is not automatically strong evidence. We look for definitions, sample conditions, comparison points, uncertainty, rights and the decision that a measurement is intended to support.
Labels, updates and corrections
Pages are labelled as news, deep dives, field notes or evergreen guides. Publication and material update dates are displayed when they differ. We do not change an old date solely to imply freshness.
If a factual error changes the meaning of a page, we correct it and keep an accountable internal record. Readers can identify the affected article path in the Contact & Corrections form. Disagreement with an interpretation is reviewed separately from a verifiable factual error.
Automation and visual policy
Automated tools may assist research organisation, transcription, drafting, metadata or illustration. The publication workflow remains responsible for checking factual scope, duplicated material, internal links, image relevance, accessibility and prohibited claims before publication.
Illustrations are used to explain a topic, not as documentary proof of an event. SportyTechs checks commissioned images for sports relevance, visible text, logos, obvious defects and duplication, then stores approved assets in first-party managed storage.
Safety, privacy and conflicts
Health-adjacent technology is described as decision support, not diagnosis. Athlete monitoring coverage addresses consent, access, retention, uncertainty and the risk of using proxy measures for selection or wellbeing.
SportyTechs does not include affiliate links, exchange or broker referrals, paid token promotion or outbound commercial calls to action. Editorial pages remain accessible without payment.
